Steve Rock
Vice President Development
Steve Rock joined the YVC team in 2022 and leads the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. As a father of three children, he was drawn to the cause because of its mission of empowering youth, and he has spent years doing just that as a coach, a “big” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and elsewhere. Steve, who graduated from Kansas State University with degrees in journalism and English, started his career at The Kansas City Star. More recently, he spent 12 years with the Arthritis Foundation, serving as Senior Executive Director. In his free time, Steve loves nothing more than spending time with his family – wife, three kids, and two rescue mutts that monopolize the bed – and also enjoys running, reading, and playing racquetball.
